Organizing space is one of the architect’s major challenges: arranging volumes, their size, their location and connectivity, the connections and movement distances are all essential to the design process, yet a conventional spatial organization based on experience and intuition usually produces a limited amount of possible options. This is due to the complexity of the condition and limitations.

Using a genetic algorithm which is able to analyze data, grow organically and adapt to reality while gradually evolving has the potential to create a vast number of options which are not confined to the designer’s perceptions.
